Simulated demo: nothing is live, and the figures come from the study. The map shows the investor's own network, from a point of presence at Telehouse Bangkok to the first data center as designed (DC1 at Sikhio, Nakhon Ratchasima, a concept), and the two PEA feeders that supply the site, with its solar, battery and generators. Click any element to see what it is, its rating, owner, cost and basis. Traffic volumes, timings and the clouds are illustrative.
Legend
Line thickness follows the load, and the dashes move in the direction of flow. Lamps: green means running, blue standby, amber attention, red a fault and gray not installed.
Connectivity at opening, THB a month (our estimate)
| Item | Low | High |
|---|---|---|
| Backhaul, two separate routes to Telehouse (2 x 100G circuits at a 160,000 proxy / two dark-fiber pairs, 250 km, 1,200 per core-km) | 320,000 | 1,200,000 |
| Internet from two IIG carriers, 2 x 10G (planning band) | 120,000 | 300,000 |
| Exchange ports, BKNIX + TH-IX 10G / plus BBIX | 60,000 | 90,000 |
| PoP rack in Bangkok (3 kW offers as proxy) | 38,800 | 40,000 |
| APNIC, /23 + /32 | 4,033 | 4,033 |
| Total a month | 542,833 | 1,634,033 |
| Once: last mile, routers, PoP switches, exchange installation, APNIC sign-up | 1,786,000 | 3,926,725 |
The figures come from the connectivity note, stage 2 (USD 16,400 to 49,500 a month at 33 THB per USD). They leave out cross-connects, optics and DWDM gear, NBTC fees and staff.
Power sources in the design
| Element | Rating |
|---|---|
| PEA feeders 1 and 2 | 22 kV (or 33 kV), from two different substations if PEA allows; connection about 3.5 MVA |
| Transformers A and B | 2 x 3,150 kVA, each sized for the whole load |
| UPS A and B | Lithium-ion, 2N, input power smoothing |
| Generators | Continuous-rated, about 1,600 kVA each, in two yards: G1 and G3 (phase 2) on board A, G2 and a spare pad on board B, paralleled through the bus tie (N+1) |
| Fuel | 15,000 L bulk in two bunded farms, one per yard, + 2,500 L in each set: 64 h at 1.2 MW, 36 h at 2.4 MW |
| Solar and battery | 10 MWp + 20 MWh behind the meter, zero export; phase 2 adds the same again |
The ratings come from the design decisions for the first data center, the facility systems and site selection notes, and model/first_dc_results.md in the repository.
